He's up on his hands and knees!!

FINALLY, Lathan was able to lift his fat body up and get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth! I thought I'd never see the day! Might this mean a real crawl shall come soon? Mmmm maybe by the times he's nine months old he might actually crawl :o). I love my Mr. Fat Man!

Where did my baby go?

Kaden has his first big boy quilt! Gramma made many baby quilts but this is the sign of my baby growing up. He's learning new things daily now, and surprising Mommy and Daddy with new tricks all the time.

Where did my little baby go? Kaden is pulling up to standing and starting to cruise furniture! He's gotten really good at getting up and down (he does this ALL. DAY. LONG) and rarely bumps his head into the table anymore. Go Kaden!

He's been crawling for a month at full speed and he's doing a lot more "talking" lately as well. The most amazing thing was yesterday. He had a bunch of toys scattered all over the floor where we were playing. I said "Kaden, where is Glowie?" and he looks and looks around, turning his head and finally - he spots her! He crawls over and grabs the glow worm by the hand! It just amazed me, and made me think he probably understands a lot more than I am giving him credit for. My smart little boy is growing up fast though. He's getting big in the blink of an eye it seems.

Biting Baby

My sweet little girl bites when she isn't getting enough attention. Her favorite place to bite is the big toe. She'll be playing on the floor and make her way over to your feet. If you don't look down and acknowledge her immediately, you get a cute little mouth over your toe and then bit. She has 7 sharp little teeth too! Little booger.

Lexer crawly

She crawled on all fours today, but of course when I pulled out the camera, she wouldn't. But dang she's cute! Don't let those boy babies watch. She's half naked!

Evil Boys.

So Adam has been pulling himself to standing for almost 3 weeks now. He's been getting good at letting himself go down slow but sometimes he still throws himself backwards. Matthew has been the same old kid. Driving everyone crazy pushing brother over and all that jazz. Mad baby picture plug. XD

Hello! My name is Marcie - and my little stud muffin is Kaden. He turned 8 months old yesterday - what happened to my little newborn? He is crawling, pulling up to his feet, and trying to hard to just go go go. He is so amazing though, he really is my motivation for being a better person, living a better life, and he just brings out the best in our family as a whole. He's definitely a Mommy's boy, still nursing and loving it.

He actually just slept through the night last night, for the first time in his whole life! I could hardly believe it. I'm not so naive that I think this will be a lasting pattern but it was nice, even if for just one night! I love this little guy.

Oh the fun!

Hi Guys!
You all know me(Sarah) and little Jerrod :) He's getting so big now! He's low crawling around the house like mad, has cut his first two teeth on the bottom, and has started saying hi, mama, dada, and OWWW. He hears Owww from me daily, and I think that's his favorite word right now!
I love finding new things to make for him, and the newest is baby legs. Check them out! They're so simple and easy to make. He's not quite crawling on his knees yet, but the rough carpet is making his little knees so raw. The ones in the pic are made out of little boys crew socks found on clearance, but I have also made ones using woman's knee socks to make them longer.
I'm waiting for the weather to be a lot nicer, it's been raining off and on constantly for the last two weeks! Little man loves it outside, and he's the happiest camper when out and about. He loves walks. I can't wait for our family trip! It's going to be so fun taking him boating, swimming and walks on the walking trails. The bonfires at the cabin will be tons of fun too. We had a bonfire at my brother's house a couple weekends ago, and he loved watching the fire, and fell asleep to it. I think it was the soundest sleep he's had in a long time! Didn't even wake up when putting him in his car seat on the way home or putting him to bed once we got home.

Finally!!

Lathan is finally scooting across the floor! It's still not quite an army crawl, but it IS scooting and that counts for something!! I missed his first successful scoot because I was too busy chatting away on facebook. :oS
Oh well! I'll take the scoots that I saw and count it as double!
As I type, he just scooted over to the end table and snatched the hose from his sister's nebulizer! Hooray!!! NOW PUT THAT DOWN!

Alexis has finally started to add some consonants to her babbling. I must say that because she is probably my last baby, I'm in no hurry for her to "grow up."

Her babbling is so cute though. She has a really gruff voice, and loves to growl. So it's a lot of growling with the occasional babababa dadadada in there. SO fun!

She is also getting really close to crawling for real (up on the hands and knees). She's been rolling around for months now, and has this really funny one armed army crawl. But now she is getting up on those hands and knees and rocking back and forth. She's even lunged forward a few times.

Sigh. I'm not ready. :( I will miss the baby stage.

Lex Playing in the Bath Tub

Larry dog the biter.

So my brother and SIL moved to Germany because my brother got stationed there. They had to quarantine their dog Larry before he could be shipped over there. The dog used to be really aggressive, but not so much anymore. Anyway, the dog is staying with my parents and he has a crate that he stays in. I'm not too worried about him biting because he's gotten A LOT better, but there is that small chance that he will.

Anyway I caught this really cute shot of the boys trying to play with Larry through the cage. He was actually being very very good.

The look on their faces is priceless. Adam's is like "Darn you caught me!" Matthew's is like "I tried to tell him Mom." And Larry's is like "I didn't do it honest."

By the way, Larry's nick name is "Larry the cable dog." Psh you all were thinking it. I know it!

Adam's "6" month check up.

So yesterday we went to his "6" month check up and the poor little guy got some shots. It's okay though he's still happier than a fly with a pile of poo. Anyway, he started crawling a couple weeks after he turned 6 months and he has been moving since. His Pedi didn't believe me that he was crawling so of course I had to prove her wrong. I set Adam down on that floor and he was on all fours............... staring at me. So I pull out my phone and say "Come here Adam! Come get mommy's phone!" He grins with his half a snaggle tooth grin and comes chasing after my phone. The Pedi was all sorts of astonished and then gushed on how smart he was and how advanced he was for crawling and all that jazz.

Anyway, he is 17 lbs 12 oz, and 27 inches long.

Why is Lathan still toothless!

He's going to be 7 months old on the 22nd, and there are ZERO signs of him getting any teeth! He doesn't seem to be in an discomfort, as if to show, "Hey, I'm going to have choppers soon, so help me out!"
Oh well, I guess I should count my blessings, he's bouncing in his neglectaroo and having a ball!

Break Through!

Miss A's top two teeth have broken through the gums. YAY! She's still ornery as a hippo with a hernia, but it's got to be a little less painful for her. Her nose is still running and she's developed a cough, but I think that's from the stuff running from her nose into the back of her throat. :(

Hopefully I'll be getting my sweet little sleeps through the night baby back soon. Although I love this baby too, I also love my sleep!

Graphics

This graphics stuff is very addictive - seriously. I spend a lot of time playing around with stuff and even when I'm at work I think about the designs I can do. I went into a technical field for work - and I miss the artsy side of life. Especially since Carson came along....I don't get enough time to do anything else creative. So this graphics stuff is awesome!

Teething woes

Well Adam cut one tooth the a couple weeks ago, and now he is cutting another.... he is mister grumpy butt no matter what we do! Orajel, tylenol, cold wash cloth..... you'd think I'd know what to do since this isn't my first rodeo, but Matthew was never like this. I'm thinking about maybe freezing one of his teethers.

Things I am going to do in my gardens and around my yard

Since we bought our house last July, I haven't been too pleased with the outer appearance. So I am going to make some small changes that I think will drastically improve the overall looks.

First my DH pulled up the paving stones in the front garden. Why on Earth the previous owner thought they looked good there, I'll never know. Then we added some poop dirt. :)

Once the ground finally thaws out I will be planting dead nettle or lamium there. It'll just fill the entire garden. It comes in purple, pink and white, and I have decided to use all three colors. Here's what a purple one looks like...

Next I will take all of the bark out of the second garden up front. Pull up the hideous ground cover he had growing there, and plant more flowers. The day lillies that are there are going to stay and I'll be adding some shasta daisies, cone flowers and some other annual plants.

In the back yard we will be building a fire pit, planting a cherry tree and a peach tree, and also planting a lilac.

I'm so excited to finally be a homeowner. It's fun to be able to change things as you please, and even funner not giving money for someone else to build equity.
